7 things to embrace today to lead you to a better tomorrow.

Our Firm founder, General Manager and all-round superwoman, Karen Gullo, sat down and shared 7 things she has learnt over the years. While it might be International Women’s Day, a day to honour and celebrate the achievements of women and recognise their equal place in society, we think these points of wisdom are applicable for both the sexes!

Question to Karen: What would you tell your 18 year old self?

“That challenges lead to growth and that hard work brings results.”

“That failure is a part of life and not a reflection of my worth.”

“That there is room for all of us to stand and shine and that my light is not diminished by the light of others.”

“That I can be competitive while supportive, seek individual achievement and advancement while still seeking and wanting the best for others.”

“That those worthy of your friendship, will want you to be your best and will bring this out in you. Alternatively, those that aren’t seeking this are not worth you diverting from your destiny in order to make them feel better about themselves (love them, but do not become less for them – help them become more).”

“Sometimes it is not about finding your place (in this world, in a social group, in your workplace) but rather making and creating your place.”

“Do not be proud but strive to always be open, teachable, real and transparent.”
